Welcome to my new blog, the TeensTakeAction.com blog, the opening shot of a brand new website and a new effort to help teens get involved in their communities. This blog is your portal into the world of teens taking action with frequent updates on what I find out in the big, wide world as well as providing useful resources to help you get started on your own ideas of what will make this a better world. The TeensTakeAction blog will be a chronicle of what teens are doing around the world to make a difference. I'll post stories as I find them or even as you and your friends tell me about them. I plan to have a variety of links that will offer resources to those who want to take the next step. I'll post interviews with kids, teachers, organization leaders, writers -- anyone who can provide some tips and insights into how we can make this a better world--and the best place to begin is in your own backyard. Like Jon and Trisha in the novel, you can identify a need or a wrong and decide to do something about it.
